Canvas base cream is a great product, a “vanishing cream” that can take a lot of actives and still stay pleasant. Canvas can be used even on oily skin without leading to breakouts. As a complement to Canvas we are now adding a second base cream to our line. We are calling it our ‘European’ Cream.

The European cream is richer, more emollient that Canvas and has a different combination of preservatives. Instead of diazolidinyl urea, phenoxyethanol, methylparaben and propylparaben, the preservatives are potassium sorbate, phenoxyethanol and caprylyl glycol.  Please see below for a discussion on preservatives.
