The Power of Customized Skin Care, The Knowledge to Use It.

Skin Actives Scientific, L.L.C.

Here are five of my favourite mixtures you may like to try.

I've lost count of the number of times I messed up with the wrong ratio of sea kelp to Canvas or too many actives in too small a quantity of Canvas.

I've found that things work much better if you group the actives by function and create separate creams. They can then be layered over each other according to what your skin needs;  it sounds like a bit of a faff, but it really doesn't take that long and, best of all the creams behave like creams and sink in rather than sit on the surface of your skin

I have rosacea skin which can get really dry so sorry oily skin sea kelp fans - these all have a Canvas base.

Collagen Synthesis Lotion

1 oz Canvas

2.5g MAP

1/8 tsp Ferulic Acid

1/8 tsp L-Carnosine

0.75ml Dermagen

4 drops AntiOx Booster

0.5ml Germaben II (optional)

I was trying to replicate a Ferulic C + E serum, but figured Id just make a cream instead.  Funnily enough the actives have liqiufied the Canvas anyway and this is now a light, milky lotion.

Anti Rosacea Day Cream

1oz Canvas

0.25 tbsp Sea Kelp

0.25g Gluathione

0.25 tsp White Liquorice

2.5ml Azeloyl Glycine

0.25 tsp Niacinamide

0.25ml Bisabolol

1ml Germaben II (optional)

The Azeloyl Glycine and Bisabolol are fairly new to the SA actives list have patch tested ok for them, and hope to have as much success with them as with the White Liquorice which is great for rosacea skin.

Anti Rosacea Night Cream

A lot of the anti-rosacea actives are herbal derivatives - highly coloured and , well, a bit pongy.  Best worn at night over a layer of the day stuff

1oz Canvas

0.25 tbsp sea kelp

0.25 tsp Centella

0.25 tsp Green Tea EGCG

0.25 tsp Horse Chestnut

0.25g Bupleurum

0.25 tsp Boswellia

1 ml Germaben (optional)

Protein and Nutrition Cream

This is Lilis fantastic recipe which deserves posting everywhere nice, rich texture and kind to rosacea skin.  Lilis original recipe had White Liquorice in it, but I have that in the Anti-Rosacea cream.

1oz Canvas

0.25 tbsp sea kelp

0.25 tube coconut endosperm

0.75 ml Dermagen

0.25 kit EGF

0.25 kit PP3

0.25 tube Beta Glucan

4 drops anti-ox

1 ml Germaben (optional)

Reconstitute the coconut endosperm in a little water then mix in.  Add EGF/PP3 last and stir gently.

Super AntiOxidant Cream

1oz Canvas

0.25 tsp Alpha Lipoic Acid (check for sensitivity)

0.25 tsp L-Carnosine

0.25 tube CoEnzyme Q10

0.25 kit SOD

4 drops AntiOx

1ml Germaben (optional)

Here are my current routines...

AM

Sea Kelp cleanser/Eye Serum/ Ferulic C + E lotion/Anti Rosacea Day/Protein & Nutrition/AntiOx Cream/ELS Serum/Sunscreen

PM

Sea Kelp cleanser/Eye Serum/ Ferulic C + E lotion/Anti Rosacea Day/Anti Rosacea Night/Protein & Nutrition/ELS Serum

Let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions about these happy mixing!
