This protein, (19,000 molecular weight), is also known as FGF-7 and heparin-binding growth factor-7 (HBGF-7). KGF is a member of the fibroblast growth factor family and has been  found to stimulate hair growth.

Cells that respond to KGF do so because they have receptors on the cell membrane that recognize the growth factor, which has been produced by cells that may be near or far from the target cell. The binding of the growth factor to the receptor initiates a cascade of molecular events that will eventually lead, among other effects, to cell division.. We make our Keratinocyte Growth Factor using biotechnology. Please ask about special wholesale prices. Please note that our growth factors are sold for use in cosmetics only.

Add the contents of the tube to 4oz of cream or lotion.
 growth factor, promotes hair growth.

Note: KGF is also available for purchase as part of a kit which combines the KGF with a nourishing and stimulating solution. We recommend the kit to home users who want the maximum benefit from the KGF.

Properties: growth factor, promotes hair growth.

Use: our Keratinocyte Growth Factor (KGF) is very powerful. Remember that growth factors are signals, not nutrients, so you need very little for it to work! You will hardly see the KGF drop at the bottom of the small tube. It is kept very concentrated to preserve its activity. Store in the refrigerator until you are ready to use it.

When ready to use, add the contents of the second tube (saline solution) to the tube containing KGF and close.

Mix by inverting and straightening the tube several times. The EGF is now ready for addition to 4 oz. or so of your cream or lotion. DO NOT BE TEMPTED to use it more concentrated than this. A growth factor is similar to a hormone: very little (it is measured in micrograms, one millionth of a gram) will go a very long way.

This is one of our specialty proteins (see also EGF and SOD) made by Skin Actives Scientific using biotechnology. Biotechnology is a short name for an array of sophisticated methods that allow scientists to make large amounts of a single protein, nearly pure and fully active, at a fraction of the cost of extracting it from the original source material.
