One of those extracts that have been used since prehistoric times in folk medicine, Indian pennywort (Centella asiatica) is rich in asiaticosides and madecassosides and can help with healing, scar management and venous insufficiency. It stimulates of maturation of the scar by increasing synthesis of type I collagen, it also decreases inflammation and myofibroblast production. Used on aging skin, it can help with skin elasticity and firmness.

Use: add one teaspoon to 4 oz. cream or lotion and mix. The powder will not dissolve immediately but will release its components slowly.
