This green tea extract is standardized for caffeine, i.e. it has been enriched
to ensure a very high concentration of this particular chemical, but some other
beneficial chemicals remain.
Caffeine decreases the
risk of skin cancer promoted by UV irradiation. It has been known for a long
time that caffeine slows down repair of DNA mutations caused by UV, and the
rationale is that slowing down the process may make it more precise, preventing
mutations that may lead to cancer.
Use: add one teaspoon to 4 oz.
of cream or lotion and mix. The powder will not dissolve immediately but will
release components slowly into the cream/lotion.
