This extract is strongly recommended for use against psoriasis. Polypodium Leucotomos Extract eliminated production of the inflammatory cytokine IL-6. In mice, it decreased mast cell infiltration and the angiogenesis promoted by chronic UVB irradiation. Inhibition of TNF-a and IL-6 production may mediate the inhibition of angiogenesis and protection of human Langerhans cells from depletion initiated by UV.
