Research has shown that silymarin can help the skin recover from damage by UV light and chemical carcinogenics like benzoyl peroxide, immunosupression by UV, inflammation, oxidative stress, and it can even stop non-melanoma skin cancer in some cases.

Due to the prevalence of benzoyl peroxide in acne treatments (like ProActiv) and the enormous number of people that suffer from acne at some point in their lives, this could be an important active ingredient to prevent complications down the road. Add our Silymarin to your favorite recipe to reverse some of the damage caused by repeated exposure to benzoyl peroxide.

Usage

Each tube is enough for 16 fl oz of cream or lotion at approximately 1% concentration (5 g in 480 mL cream). Use in your favorite cream or add to our Canvas Base Cream or a Sea Kelp Bioferment base.

Silymarin is a group of flavonoids extracted from the seeds of milk thistle (Silybum marianum). Used for thousands of years to alleviate diseases of the liver, spleen, and gall bladder, it is now used clinically in Europe for treatment of liver damage.
