We don't think about the value of our eyebrows until something goes wrong with them. This may happen as early as the teens, when we discover tweezers and go a bit overboard. By the time we are in our 20s, we may realize our mistakes and start using whatever is around to try and get back the lovely eyebrows we used to have. Not long ago, the only options to choose from were brow pencil, permanent tattoos, and glued-on fake eyebrows. Not only do they look fake (because they are), but they also weaken the remaining eyebrows.
What about eyelashes? If you wear thick mascara it can weaken your real eyelashes. Glue and fake eyelashes will make things even worse.
So, here you are in your late 20s and beyond with altered eyebrows and eyelashes. What can you do?
You’re in luck, because in the last few years it has become possible for scientists to create keratinocyte growth factor (KGF). This is the same growth factor that your body uses to signal production of eyelashes, eyebrows, and hair.
In addition to KGF, the cells making hairs will need a number of other building blocks in order to be able to follow those production instructions. All the actives in our Brow and Lash Serum are dedicated to reinvigorating the cells that form eyelashes and eyebrows.
KGF is the crucial growth factor. This is the signal used by our bodies to tell the cells capable of making hair to do so. Hair is made of protein, and proteins are made of amino acids. To support hair growth you need amino acids, plus the enzymes and proteins capable of creating hair proteins. In addition to these crucial nutrients, you’ll need minerals used by those important enzymes and the vitamins our bodies can't make. In our serum, we also include botanical extracts known to promote hair formation, caffeine, and antioxidants. Although we can't promise that our hair promoting serums will work for everybody in every situation, many of our clients have benefited from them.
Always remember that fashions come and go. Don't let your eyebrows change forever to follow a trend for one season.
