Homemade Hand Lotion for Crepey Skin

What do your hands need? The same that your face does, plus more!
If you compare, perhaps you will notice that your hands are showing your age even more than your face. Why? Your hands are exposed to UV just like your face is, plus they are exposed to even more stressors. There are many things we do that expose our hands to stress, from washing them often, to using disinfecting gels, doing the dishes or through your profession.
How does this stress show? Lines, dry skin, uneven appearance, small scars, crepey, thin skin and loss of subcutaneous fat exposing blood vessels. And all of that is before we even talk about nails! How to Mix Your Own DIY Hand Lotion
Try making your own “do it yourself” hand cream for crepey, thin or aging skin.
Let’s Get Started!
Implements you will need:
- A small spatula or mini-whisk.
- Paper towels to cover the surface where you will work.
- Isopropyl alcohol to sterilize your implements. You can find this for about $2 for 16 oz. at your local pharmacy or supermarket. We recommend using a spray bottle to dispense the alcohol.
- A small bowl for mixing all your ingredients.
- Plus a notebook where you will write all the details so, if you are happy with the result of your project, you will be able to recreate it.
- 1 - large 8 oz. empty jar or bottle with lotion pump.
- 1 - 8 oz. jar of Body Cream or a simple base cream or lotion that interacts well with your skin.
- 2 - Epidermal Growth Factor
- 1 - Hyaluronic Acid Gel - Add until you get the desired consistency
- 1 - Rosehip Seed Oil - Add until you get the desired Consistency
- 1 - Coenzyme Q10 for an anti-aging boost
- 1 - Retinyl Acetate to exfoliate rough skin
- You can do all the mixing at room temperature.
- Move approximately 6 oz. of Body Cream into your sterilized mixing bowl.
- Add the ingredients in the order listed above.
- Stir using a spatula or a small whisk until you get a homogeneous cream.
- Empty final mixture into jar or bottle.
